Day 1: Arrival
Depending on the time of arrival you can directly head to Jinja or spend the night in Kampala. Visit the source of the Nile and Bujagali Falls with a guide depending on your point of arrival. Dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort .
Day 2: Jinja
After early breakfast, hikers will enjoy visiting Mabira Forest for an interesting forest walk, have a picnic and also take lunch. The group will then enjoy traditional dances by a local women dancing group. Safari Options on this day include swimming and boat rides. Dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort.
Day 3: Jinja - Mount Elgon
After early breakfast, leave for Mt. Elgon via Mbale Eastern Uganda. Transfer to Sipi Falls and after lunch hike to the falls.
Day 4: Section of River Sipi Hike
Take breakfast and then resume the hike following the Kapkwata Trail. A scenic hike through the bamboo, heath and moorland gets you to the Piswa camp at 2850 meters. Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the mountains.
Day 5: Hunters Cave
Trek up to the verge of the calderas through beautiful columns of Lobelia Elgonensis. Visit Hot Springs and Suam Gorge before descending to the hunters cave Camp 3850m.
Day 6: Jackson Summit
Take breakfast and ascend to the top of the calderas to the Wagagai Peak at 4321m. Descend thereafter through the Jackson summit and the Jackson pool to overnight at Mude Camp 3500m.
Day 7: Elgon - Kampala
Early morning, descend through the Sasa trail to Budadiri then travel to Mbale town. En route to Kampala for your departure. Have the last Dinner and overnight at Speke Hotel Kampala
Day 8: Departure
City tour and transfer to the Airport afor departure
Naro Moru is the most popular and fastest route to point Lenana although not the most scenic. Traverse though the notoriously treacherous vertical bog and into the wide Teleki Valley beneath the Tryndall, The Lewis Glacier.
Arrival day in Tanzania: Kilimanjaro to Moshi 45Km (27 miles) 50 Min drive. You will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Moshi where you will be taken directly to your hotel.
