The clothes you bring will determine how pleasant your mountain hike will be. Avoid high heels and dress shoes. Carry very thin socks or no socks at all on your mountain trip. Wear sneakers or light trail shoes, but don't wear heavy-duty hiking boots. Light hiking boots are excellent in being good for keeping your footing on loose rocks while supporting your ankles.
